How to Pack Your Device Safely

Good packaging is the difference between a smooth repair and a phone that arrives worse than it left. Power the device off completely and remove the SIM card, but leave the case on if it has one, it is extra protection in transit. Wrap the device in bubble wrap or, failing that, a few layers of clothing or a thick sock, and place it in a box slightly bigger than the device with padding on every side. A phone should not move when you shake the box gently. Do not send the charger, the box or any accessories, we do not need them and they add postage weight.

Include a note inside with your name, phone number, email and a line about the fault, or simply your booking reference if you booked online first. Send it tracked and signed for, keep the receipt, and message us the tracking number so we know to expect it.

What Happens When It Arrives

We message you the moment your device is signed for, then again with a confirmed quote once a technician has looked at it, usually the same day it arrives. Work starts only when you approve the quote. Most mail-in repairs are fixed the day we receive them and posted back tracked the next working day, so the typical door-to-door time is three to four working days. Every repair carries the same 12-month warranty and No Fix, No Fee as a collected or walk-in job.

Mail-in suits anyone outside our free collection area, or anyone who simply prefers the postbox to a doorbell. If you are inside Greater Manchester, collection is usually faster and costs nothing, so check that page first.
