Boot Loop and Stuck on Logo Repair in Manchester
If your phone shows the logo, restarts, and does it again forever, that is a boot loop. It is usually software or storage rather than a dead phone, and your data is often still recoverable.
Signs You Have This Problem
Boot loops have a few distinct flavours and each points somewhere different.
Logo appears and vanishes on repeat
The classic loop. Normally corrupt system software or a failed update rather than hardware.
Starts, runs for a minute, then restarts
Often a failing battery unable to hold up under load, or an app crashing the system at startup.
Stuck on the logo without moving
Frequently a storage fault, where the phone cannot read the system files it needs to continue.
Recovery or download mode appears by itself
The phone knows it cannot boot normally. This is often the most recoverable state to bring us.
What Causes It
Most boot loops follow a software event: an update that was interrupted by a flat battery or lost connection, a jailbreak or root that went wrong, or file system corruption. The next most common cause is failing storage, where the memory chip can no longer reliably return the data the phone needs during startup. Hardware causes exist too, particularly a battery that collapses under the current draw of booting, and boards that were previously liquid damaged. The distinction matters because software and battery cases are usually cheap fixes, while storage faults are more involved.
How We Fix It
Software repairs start from £25. We always attempt to preserve your data first.
Our first priority is your data, because the wrong first move can wipe it permanently. We image what we can before attempting repair wherever the storage allows it. From there we work through the likely causes in order, restoring or reflashing system software, testing the battery under boot load, and checking the storage for errors. Most boot loops we see are resolved without any parts at all. If the storage itself has failed we will tell you plainly what recovery is likely to cost and what the chances are, and you decide from there.
